What is metabolic balance®?

It is a truly personalised nutrition programme based on an in-depth analysis of your unique blood values and medical history. Your customised plan indicates exactly which natural foods you should eat to orchestrate the biochemical changes needed to reach your weight and health goals.

 

It teaches your body to develop an appetite for foods that help balance your hormones. This enhances fat burning, decrease fat storage and promote anti-aging, amongst other positive effects. There is no counting of points or calories.

Who can benefit from metabolic balance®?

Those wishing to lose, maintain or gain healthy weight and/or would like to improve conditions associated with:

  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Insulin resistance
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Female hormonal imbalances e.g. PCOS, menstrual irregularity, hot flushes
  • Migraines
  • Arthritis
  • Skin conditions, etc

Suitable for children from 8 years of age but not for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Doctor’s evaluation may be needed if you have a serious health condition or blood values flag up a potentially serious health issue.

What does metabolic balance® involve?

You undertake a blood test and the results determine your exact nutrient needs and are used to formulate your individual diet plan. No two persons receive the exact same diet plan.

 

There are four stages and your metabolic balance® coach will guide you through each of them.

Phase 1 – Preparation

2 days gentle detoxification to prepare for the changes ahead.

Phase 2 – Strict Adjustment

A minimum of 14 days on your specific diet. During this time your metabolism will “switch on” and start adjusting toward a more balanced metabolism. You will need to follow a set of rules. No oils are allowed in the first 14 days.

Phase 3 – Relaxed Adjustment

2 weeks or longer. You start to integrate recommended additional foods into your daily meals and test out other foods you have avoided in the strict phase. You may enjoy on occasion a “cheat” meal (e.g. once a week), savour a glass of wine or a special treat.

Phase 4 – Maintenance

The final phase is indefinite. You continue to follow the basic rules of Metabolic Balance® for a sustained, healthy metabolism. By this time you are likely to find that you no longer crave certain foods or your body may send you signals on whether a particular food is suitable for you.

Your metabolic balance® coaches

Your coach will guide you through the process with up to 7 sessions made up of:

 

Face-face consultations: up to 6 sessions.

 

One session: to review and key in your test results to metabolic balance® to generate your unique diet plan.

 

Email support in between consultations if needed.

 

All sessions and email support is provided up to maximum 3 months from first consultation.

Blood test: Separate cost, paid directly to the lab that performs the test.

 

Supplements are usually not needed. If they are required for specific reasons, you will be given the appropriate recommendations and information on where to purchase them.
